Fireworks

Wow it has been quite a while since I have been on here and on a computer. Man the Lord has been blessing me in different and odd ways as usual. I spent two weeks in Sterling & Rockfalls Illinois selling fireworks with two buds. (Jon Rodick & Ryan Mceldowny) It was really difficult because we did not have much product even worth selling as well we had 9 tents within our radius who had been there for years. We were kind stuck between a rock and a hard place luckily God is everywhere. We stayed the night in the tents and also ha got robbed a few times...We were not exactly in a nice area.
One place God really blessed us is through showers. We were allowed to shower in a homeless house 5 minutes away every other day. Each time we would go we would be showering inside the shelter in these homeless mens shower. They were unbelievably friendly and welcoming to us which was so convicting consider the fact that how many of us "Christians" would allow these men to shower in our shower? as well be so so so welcoming. God had his hand on this area and opened our eyes in different ways. Also the type of people we met down there were the unique and real people. One gentleman slept in the parking lot in his car and was homeless named Gary Satterfield. We got to know this guy really well and at night he would watch over our tent and day time he would hang out with us. Gary kinda lived in his own world but Jon and I continually just kept thinking we might be entertaining angels. Just listening was amazing in and of itself. Anyways God protected us and opened our eyes and hearts to attitudes, relationships, convictions, and bonds in his way and not ours and I am so thankful for that daily.
